a decision has been made
Finally! I used a service called Service Master which links service providers (painters, plumbers, etc) to customers. I got three responses and we picked one (owner/operator) painter that came over this morning and gave us an estimate (and a suggestion on color and accent). He thinks that the brown we chose will be too dark (we had a feeling) and that any color besides white will really pop because of the white railings, shutters, and the quilt on the wall. So where going a few shades lighter than the dark cocoa brown. We’re also doing an accent color on the shelf in a darker brown. We were considering the ceiling but it adds $300. Hmmmm. What do you think?
We also put in an offer on the couch set that you saw earlier (The Ashely furniture). It’s interesting and in great condition (5 months old). It’s wood, leather and fabric so I think the eclectic look and feel will go nicely in the room. It comes with couch, loveseat, two end tables and a coffee table. She wants $1800, we offered $1100.
Tomorrow - my day off -i’m taking the kids to the Oakland Zoo.
On Sunday I’m taking Will up north to Santa Rosa for…. MONSTER TRUCK RACING!!!!!! I’ve got to pick up some ear plugs but I think it’s going to be awesome. We jumped up on YouTube.com last night and watched some videos of Monster Trucks and Will thought they were cool.
